Art print by Atelier Cph, exclusive to the manufacturer. Printed on high-quality 265g art paper.

Atelier Cph is a multidisciplinary creative studio located in an old biscuit factory in central Copenhagen. The studio was founded by Dutch artistic director Mandy Rep and Danish trend-researcher Sara Ingemann.

The artistic expression of the Copenhagen-based design studio is known for its minimalist approach. Sara Ingemann and Mandy Rep are constantly experimenting with new techniques and materials.

“Our artwork is created by combining our love of touch with the endless exploration of new techniques. We work with a combination of different materials – from textiles we source from second-hand stores to old paper with historical markings and handmade paper.”

Sourcing all materials from thrift and vintage stores, from friends and family, and from nature is a central part of their work because materials contain memories. “It's very important to us to use materials that have their own story,” says Sara. “It brings our work to life.”

By layering different materials, Sara and Mandy create subtly complex works that have a special meaning. The process of creating their pieces is a matter of trial and error and self-trust: "We try to be spontaneous and trust our intuition, but there is also a lot of finalizing and being perfectionist to maintain the exact finish we like."
